“The War of All Against All- Evolution & Altruism” by Chuck Colson

Here is a quote from the commentary to get you interested:

In contrast, Christians understand that while we are born with the capacity for selfishness and even cruelty, we are also capable of caring for others. Because we are created in the image of God, we not only don't have to be at war with our neighbors, we can willingly die for them, as well.

“Confronting Reality: Religion and Higher Education” by Chuck Colson

Could it be that there will be a return of “faith and reason” at Harvard, a school that formerly served as a training ground for America’s preachers?

“Thanksgiving Without a Giver?” by Albert Mohler

Mohler takes a look at who Americans are giving thanks to. For some it might be the mighty God of the universe but for others the god to whom they are thankful barely, if at all, resembles the God revealed in Holy Scripture.

"From Whom?" by Jill Carattini

"Choosing not to see the glory of God, choosing not to raise our eyes to God from whom all blessings flow is in essence to be content in blindness. It is choosing not to wholly consider reality, choosing to overlook the sovereign God at work beyond us, in all things, in all circumstances."

“Christianity’s Real Record” by Greg Koukl

After providing some good arguments against those who criticize Christianity’s "intolerance", exclusivism, and adherence to the Law of Noncontradiction, Koukl provides a history of one worldview’s horrific story of human depravity. He then highlights a more accurate depiction of the Judeo-Christian worldview’s influence and transforming effect upon human history. It is certainly a long read but well worth the time and effort.

"Trickle-Down Theology" by Betsy Child

In this commentary Childs uses this quote from A.W. Tozer:

A. W. Tozer writes, "What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.... For this reason, the gravest question before the Church is always God Himself, and the most portentous fact about any man is not what at a given time he may say or do, but what he in his deep heart conceives God to be like."

“Engaging a Needy World” by Chuck Colson

In this commentary you will find two great quotes by one of my favorite apologists C.S. Lewis and some testimonials on the importance of “worldview preparation.”

"Word & Culture" by Ravi Zacharias

A quote to get you interested:

For ultimately, all pursuits apart from God lead to alienation and loneliness that only the touch of Christ can resolve. The Christian, therefore, stands in the position to proclaim and live the truth that reaches the mind, stirs the heart, and purifies the imagination. The regenerative power of the Word is what makes it indispensable to every culture in every century.

"Holding History" by Betsy Childs

Here Childs illustrates why ideas do matter.

“Memo on prayer and the November Election” by Wayne Grudem

Wayne Grudem is one of my favorite theologians living today and I think this article represents a good offering in context with an analysis of the tenure of the Bush administration and the coming elections.

Great Quotes: T.S. Eliot

"The greatest proof of Christianity for others is not how far a man can logically analyze his reasons for believing, but how far in practice he will stake his life on his belief."
